Acoustic Philly #10

Welcome to Acoustic Philly#10. Seven fantastic tunes from the new sound of Philadelphia. It may be rock, folk, alternative, or retro, but it’s as warm as a pretzel, smooth as a cheesesteak, solid like Billy Penn on top of City Hall, and homey like a motel “down the shore”.

Does anyone with a synth wah flourish sound like Yes? The Sea and Cake would be a better point of reference…

Hey Kelan!! Yes in my opinion anyone with a synth wah flourish (in a rock song setting) is doomed to sound a little like yes. Even if they did not do it first, they did it large. In the same way that anyone who does a finger tapping guitar solo is destined to bring Van Halen to mind. Thanks for bringing the sea and cake to my reality. I heard some songs today and hopefully we will be able to have one of their songs on a future podcast. They have a great sound.
